Thurrock Council Electric Charging Survey - Have My Say

Thurrock Council has a draft plan for electric vehicle charging in the borough. We want to hear from you, whether you already drive an electric vehicle or are thinking about it in the future. Your feedback will help us make sure the strategy works for local people. Please take a few minutes to complete our survey.

Why are we doing this?

Thurrock residents deserve to breathe clean air and to be protected from the impacts of climate change such as flooding – something that is a very real risk in a borough next to a major river.

Transport is the biggest source of emissions in Thurrock, making up 43% of the total, so reducing emissions from transport is a top priority.

One major step is installing more electric vehicle charge points at homes, businesses, and public places. While not all emissions come from residents, we can all play a role in reducing emissions.

We know that not everyone can afford electric vehicles at the moment, but this is likely to change over time, not least because the Government has said that petrol and diesel cars will be phased out in the next 10 years.

This strategy looks at this and sets out some plans to help us meet this goal. Please complete the survey below and share your views about your needs, usage and our objectives.

Survey closes on Friday 3rd October
